Chelsea to look into 'abuse' of Yossi Benayoun by own fans

Chelsea to investigate Benayoun 'abuse'

Chelsea have launched an investigation into alleged abuse of midfielder Yossi Benayoun by the West London outfit's own supporters.

The 32-year-old took to Twitter to air his frustrations at a "small part" of the Chelsea following for addressing the Israeli with negative chants in recent fixtures.

While there had been reports that Benayoun had been the subject of anti-semitic chants, the Blues have not referred to the alleged abuse in that manner as they prepare to look into claims, according to Sky Sports News.

Since moving to Stamford Bridge in 2010 Benayoun has failed to cement a regular starting spot, resulting in loan stints at Arsenal and West Ham United.
