Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has said that he is glad to be back following his side's 2-1 win at Sunderland.
The Czech international damaged knee ligaments last month, but returned to the starting lineup yesterday at the Stadium of Light.
"I am glad to be back and that the knee is okay. I was going into the game 100% prepared and finished it without anything getting worse," he told the club's official website.
"Ahead of it, I was in a few training sessions and the doctors gave me the green light.
"Last season I didn't miss a single match and, hopefully, I have taken my toll this early in the season and will avoid injuries for the rest of it."
The Blues begin their Champions League campaign on Tuesday at home to Bayer Leverkusen.
