Chelsea interim boss Rafael Benitez says that his team must improve their results if they want to finish the season strongly.

Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has insisted that his players must turn their fortunes around against Wigan Athletic.

The Blues take on the Latics at Stamford Bridge tomorrow while in third place in the Premier League table, just one point ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.

"We know the problems and we are working on the solutions," Sky Sports News quotes Benitez as saying. "The main thing is that you can score two goals, and then you are 2-0 up at half time, then you have to finish the games.

"We could have won all the games we didn't win. It's a question of sometimes doing the right things at the right moment, having a little bit of luck, being more clinical, not making mistakes in defence.

"The team is doing well in terms of the performance and we have to improve the results, especially the games we were winning."

Meanwhile, the former Liverpool boss, who has led Chelsea to just one win in six games, revealed that captain John Terry will be absent from tomorrow's match due to an inflamed knee.
