Roman Abramovich will consider victorious Roberto Di Matteo

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly had a change of heart and may offer Roberto Di Matteo the manager's job on a full-time basis if the club win the Champions League.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly willing to offer Roberto Di Matteo the Blues manager's job on a full-time basis if the club win the Champions League.

The Blues face Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena later this evening and will be crowned European champions for the first time in the club's history if they win.

Abramovich was keen to replace Di Matteo regardless of the result, however he has now changed his mind because he believes that public opinion of him would go down if he were to dismiss the Italian after such an impressive achievement, according to the Daily Star.

Di Matteo has won 13 of his 20 games in charge of the Stamford Bridge club.
