Report: Loic Remy ruled out for two months with thigh injury

A report claims that Chelsea loanee Loic Remy has picked up an injury during training with Crystal Palace that is likely to sideline him for around two months.

Crystal Palace reportedly face the prospect of being without Loic Remy for the next two months after the striker picked up a thigh injury in training.

The 29-year-old, who has been dogged by injury issues over the past few years, only joined the Eagles on loan from Chelsea last week and has yet to feature.

According to The Guardian, Remy underwent a scan on Tuesday which revealed that he will spend between six and eight weeks on the sidelines, adding to manager Alan Pardew's woes following the expected loss of Yohan Cabaye for this weekend's meeting with Middlesbrough.

Pardew revealed in his pre-match press conference ahead of the fixture against Boro that the Frenchman will indeed be made to wait for his first Palace appearance, but it is not yet known just how long he will miss.

Remy only started three Premier League games for Chelsea last season and was allowed to leave on loan for the remainder of this campaign, with the option to make that move permanent next summer if all parties are content.
