Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Chelsea injury, suspension list vs. Wolves

Chelsea return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon as they square off against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Blues head into this contest looking to record their third successive win in all competitions, the second of which came against AC Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

However, at a time when Graham Potter's side are embarking on an unrelenting schedule, the Englishman continues to have to contend with injury issues to key players in his squad.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of welcoming the West Midlands outfit to Stamford Bridge.

N'Golo Kante

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: October 8 (vs. Wolves)

While N'Golo Kante has been absent since suffering a hamstring injury on August 14, the Frenchman has been back in training for over a week. Nevertheless, the midfielder was not risked against Milan in midweek, and he will only feature among the replacements at best on Saturday.

Wesley Fofana

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Soon after scoring against Milan, Wesley Fofana jarred his knee and was forced to be withdrawn. Although the summer arrival attempted to continue, he eventually had to concede defeat and hobble off, with Potter admitting that he is concerned about the severity of the injury.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no players suspended for this match.
