Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Burnley

Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League showdown with Burnley on Saturday.

Chelsea will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they travel to an out-of-sorts Burnley side for Saturday's showdown.

The Blues prepared for their trip to Turf Moor in perfect fashion with a 4-0 drubbing of Russian Premier League side FC Krasnodar in the Champions League, with Callum Hudson-Odoi, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic all getting on the scoresheet on Wednesday evening.

However, Frank Lampard has witnessed his side pick up just one win from their last five Premier League outings, but the Blues have a prime opportunity to register three points against a Burnley side still awaiting their first top-flight victory of the season.

Kepa Arrizabalga has been struggling with a shoulder problem as of late and did not make the long journey to Russia for the win over Krasnodar. The Spaniard is being assessed ahead of Saturday's game, but Edouard Mendy kept another clean sheet in a Chelsea shirt in midweek and is unlikely to lose his place either way.

Possible return date: November 21 (vs. Newcastle United)

Teenage protege Billy Gilmour is making good progress after undergoing surgery on a knee injury, Lampard confirmed, and the midfielder could be back in the fold for Chelsea's trip to Newcastle United after the international break.


CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no suspension concerns for their trip to Burnley, with Marcos Alonso available following a Champions League ban.
