Chelsea have recorded a 5-0 victory over Dynamo Kiev on Thursday night to coast through to the Europa League quarter-finals.

Maurizio Sarri's side already held a 3-0 advantage from the first leg, and an early goal from Olivier Giroud set the tone for the reverse fixture in Ukraine.

Giroud went on to complete his hat-trick before the hour mark, with Marcos Alonso and Callum Hudson-Odoi also getting on the scoresheet.

Hello and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the match in the Europa League between Dynamo Kiev and Chelsea. The Blues have made the trip to Ukraine holding a 3-0 advantage from the first leg, leaving Kiev with a mammoth task to remain in this competition. The two teams are making their way out onto the pitch, so let's see who features in each starting lineup...

DYNAMO KIEV XI: Boyko; Kedziora, Burda, Kadar, Mykolenko; Sydorchuk, Shepelev; Tsygankov, Shaparenko, Sidcley; Harmash

CHELSEA XI: Arrizabalaga; Zappacosta, Rudiger, Christensen, Alonso; Kante, Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek; Willian, Giroud, Hudson-Odoi

KICKOFF:  We are underway in Kiev!

Chelsea had most of the ball during the opening two minutes, but Kiev won a free kick at the other end which needed to be cleared at the near post by Zappacosta.

GOAL!  Dynamo Kiev 0-1 Chelsea (Olivier Giroud)

GOAL!  Well that should be tie over! An outswinging corner from Willian is flicked on by Loftus-Cheek, and Giroud is there to produce a confident finish on the half-volley from close range. Dynamo need five goals...

I don't expect this game to be played at a high tempo. Chelsea - if they choose to - can afford to stroll through the remainder of the contest with Sunday's Premier League encounter at Everton in mind.

Chelsea are doing just that at the moment with the ball being retained in their defensive and middle third. That will be a regular occurrence in this game.

CHANCE!  Chelsea almost double their advantage. Alonso picks out the run of Loftus-Cheek inside the area, but the midfielder's low left-footed effort is tipped wide by Boyko.

CHANCE!  Willian's set piece from the right finds Giroud, but the Frenchman's header towards the top corner is claimed by Boyko.

Kiev have literally had about 10% of possession during the opening 14 minutes. Chelsea are being allowed to do as they please.

Hudson-Odoi is yet to have much joy down the right. The youngster is sometimes being too predictable when taking on his marker.

Chelsea are seeing so much of the ball. Dynamo are just chasing shadows. This has all the makings of a very one-sided game.

Most of Chelsea's attacks are coming down the left. Alonso is almost playing as a wing-back. The Spaniard is yet to deliver an accurate cross, however.

DISALLOWED GOAL!  Dynamo break and Harmash produces a confident finish into the far corner after latching onto a through-ball. The problem? The forward was at least a yard offside.

Hudson-Odoi concedes a free kick on the edge of the area, and Tsygankov takes the opportunity to try his luck from distance. However, the winger's strike goes straight into the wall.

Dynamo have improved over the past few minutes, but Chelsea are not alarmed. They probably don't mind a bit of time off the ball.

Chelsea burst into life with Kante threading a pass through to Giroud. The forward bides his time before attempting to find his compatriot with a return pass, but Dynamo are able to clear.

Dynamo have pushed Chelsea back over the last two minutes, but the visitors remain on the ball and are prepared to stay patient.

Giroud has picked up a knock to his foot. I think that he will be fine to continue, but he looks in a bit of discomfort.

GOAL!  Dynamo Kiev 0-2 Chelsea (Olivier Giroud)

GOAL!  This will make him feel better. Alonso receives the ball on the left and delivers a low cross into the path of Giroud, who finds the net from eight yards out with another first-time finish.

Giroud now has eight goals in this competition. He's had less starts in the Premier League! Makes you wonder why...

Dynamo are really starting to look discouraged. Chelsea are toying with them, and not having to extend themselves in doing so.

Giroud and Hudson-Odoi link up on the edge of the penalty area, and a defender needs to put out a leg to prevent a volley from the latter from heading towards the bottom corner.

Chelsea look a threat from every set piece that they win around the penalty area. Dynamo cannot handle the quality of the delivery or the runs being made by players for the visitors.

Sarri must be considering whether to make any alterations at the break. There is little point in any of Sunday's starters completing this contest.

There will be one minute of added-on time.

GOAL!  Dynamo Kiev 0-3 Chelsea (Marcos Alonso)

GOAL!  Chelsea find a third just before the break. Hudson-Odoi plays a one-two with Giroud, and the youngster's cross picks out Alonso who converts from close range. It's a fine team goal.

HALF TIME:  Dynamo Kiev 0-3 Chelsea

The half-time whistle goes in Kiev and Chelsea are coasting through to the Europa League quarter-finals. Two goals from Giroud and a third from Alonso have left Dynamo needing at least seven goals. It won't happen.

Here's a look at who features on each bench. Both managers are certain to use their allotted three substitutions.

DYNAMO KIEV: Bushchan, Tche, Andrievsky, Bueno, Shabanov, Smyrnyi, Alibekov

CHELSEA: Caballero, Jorginho, Barkley, Hazard, Pedro, Azpilicueta, Luiz

The two teams have made their way back out. No changes for either side at the moment.

KICKOFF:  Dynamo have got us back underway.

Loftus-Cheek looks unstoppable when he bursts forward from midfield, and that's exactly what the midfielder does here. However, the Englishman hangs onto the ball for too long, and the opening is lost.

SHOT!  It has taken 140 minutes but Dynamo finally get a shot on target in this tie. However, Shepelev's long-range strike is scuffed too close to Arrizabalaga.

CHANCE!  Like buses! Dynamo squander a chance to get on the scoresheet with Sydorchuk seeing a close-range effort superbly blocked by Arrizabalaga before the rebound is struck against the post!

At least Dynamo are showing some ambition at the start of this second half. They could still lose by four or five goals by the full-time whistle, but they are doing what they can to breach this Chelsea defence.

Hudson-Odoi is making a conscious effort to show Sarri that he is willing to improve the defensive side of his game. The 18-year-old has put in a shift in helping out Zappacosta.

Loftus-Cheek again makes a burst from midfield, but the midfielder cannot find a teammate after reaching the right-hand side of the penalty area.

It's Zappacosta's turn to get down the right, and the Italian is taken out by Mykolenko. Chance here for Chelsea...

GOAL!  Dynamo Kiev 0-4 Chelsea (Olivier Giroud)

GOAL!  Giroud has his hat-trick! Willian's outswinging free kick finds Giroud all on his own around six yards from goal, and the Frenchman sends a header into the far corner of the net.

YELLOW CARD!  Now Hudson-Odoi surges forward and Mykolenko decides to go in late on the winger. The referee hands out a deserved yellow card.

OFF THE BAR!  Wow! Boyko has pulled off a wonder save to prevent Alonso's free kick from finding the top corner. The goalkeeper got across his line to tip the effort onto the post and crossbar. It's an outrageous save!

Dynamo attempt to hit straight but Chelsea win a goal kick. It's time for some changes...

SUBSTITUTIONS! Dynamo act first with Tche replacing Sydorchuk. Chelsea's alteration sees Jorginho come on for Kante.

More Chelsea changes are to follow. Dynamo continue to go in search of a consolation goal, and Harmash heads over the crossbar after meeting an outswinging cross.

SUBSTITUTION! Zappacosta has picked up an injury, and it has resulted in Azpilicueta being introduced into the game.

SHOT!  Alonso is desperate for a second goal. The left-back's free kick beats Boyko but the ball goes a yard or so wide of the goalkeeper's left-hand post.

YELLOW CARD!  Azpilicueta goes into the book for a cynical tug of Sidcley's shirt.

SUBSTITUTION! Chelsea's final switch sees Pedro take the place of Willian.

A penny for the thoughts of Ross Barkley. The midfielder has not been used in the last two matches, despite being on the bench for both games.

GOAL!  Dynamo Kiev 0-5 Chelsea (Callum Hudson-Odoi)

GOAL!  Hudson-Odoi is taking a liking to this competition. Giroud picks out the run of the winger, who advances into the penalty area before slotting home from 12 yards out. It's the 18-year-old's fourth goal of the competition.

Chelsea have been hugely impressive this evening. Dynamo are not as good as they used to be, but this has been ruthless from the Premier League side.

SUBSTITUTION! Dynamo make another change as Smyrnyi replaces Sidcley.

Hudson-Odoi is waiting on the shoulder of the full-back, waiting to be played in behind the backline. It doesn't pay off here, but the academy graduate is desperate for another goal.

Chelsea have only had 12 attempts on goal in this match. It highlights their ruthless streak in the final third. Sarri will want to see more of the same in the Premier League.

SUBSTITUTION! Dynamo make a final switch with Andrievsky taking the place of Shepelev.

There will be two minutes of added-on time.

FULL TIME:  Dynamo Kiev 0-2 Chelsea

The full-time whistle goes in Ukraine and Chelsea have registered a 5-0 win over Dynamo Kiev. Giroud's hat-trick will make the headlines, but this was a five-star performance from the Blues in more ways than one.

That will be all from Sports Mole for this match. Thank you for joining us this evening. If you would like to read our on-the-whistle match report, you can do so by clicking here. Goodbye for now.
