Chelsea injury, suspension list vs. Frankfurt

Chelsea head into the second leg of their Europa League semi-final with Eintracht Frankfurt having already secured a place in next season's Champions League.

The Blues have placed a big priority on winning this competition given the added rewards for the winner, but Chelsea's 3-0 win over Watford on Sunday afternoon has earned the club a top-four spot in the Premier League table.

However, Maurizio Sarri is keen to win his first silverware as a manager, while the Italian is also be aware that lifting the Europa League trophy may be required for him to keep his job heading into next season.

N'Golo Kante

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: May 12 (vs. Leicester City)

N'Golo Kante sustained a hamstring problem during the early stages of the game with Watford, and Sarri has effectively ruled the Frenchman out of Thursday's match.


Antonio Rudiger

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Antonio Rudiger picked up his second knee injury in the space of a few weeks against Manchester United, and the defender will not return until next season.


Callum Hudson-Odoi

Status: Out Type of injury: Achilles Possible return date: Unknown

Callum Hudson-Odoi will not return to action until next season after sustaining an Achilles injury against Burnley on Easter Monday.


Ethan Ampadu

Status: Out Type of injury: Back Possible return date: Unknown

Ethan Ampadu has not been in contention since sustaining a back problem in March when on international duty with Wales, and Chelsea are yet to provide a possible return date.

Marco van Ginkel

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Marco van Ginkel will not be involved this season, but the Dutchman is making progress in his recovery from a serious knee injury.
