Jose Mourinho: 'Thibaut Courtois saved Chelsea'

Jose Mourinho has admitted that goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is the reason why Chelsea are favourites to advance into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Belgian stopper made a string of impressive saves to deny Paris Saint-Germain in tonight's 1-1 draw at Parc des Princes.

Branislav Ivanovic opened the scoring with a first-half header, which was later cancelled out by Edinson Cavani, as the Blues take a precious away goal into the second leg at Stamford Bridge.

When asked if Chelsea were lucky to emerge with a draw, Mourinho told ITV Sport: "When you see the performance of our goalkeeper you have to say yes, he made two or three important saves in the game."

Les Parisiens travel to West London for the second leg on March 11.
