Thibaut Courtois: 'Chelsea must go on the attack against Paris Saint-Germain'

Thibaut Courtois is eager for Chelsea to play attacking football against Paris Saint-Germain at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has urged his teammates to play their usual attacking game in order to beat Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

The Blues welcome PSG to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday for the second leg of their last-16 tie following a 1-1 draw in Paris three weeks ago.

Courtois admits that Chelsea will need to defend solidly throughout the game if they want to avoid conceding an away goal, but the Belgian does not want his side to play too deep.

"We are confident but we expect a very difficult game," he told RMC. "PSG will come here to score goals. It will be a very tough game. We are ready and we hope to win in front of our fans.

"We need to see the tactics that the coach will put in place. What is certain is that we cannot wait. We must defend well but do not aim at 0-0 because, if we concede a goal, it's PSG who qualify with a 1-0 win. I think we should play with our qualities, trying to score goals to win this game."

Chelsea are currently on an eight-match unbeaten run in all competitions.
