Chelsea to rest key trio for Sporting Lisbon clash

Chelsea trio John Terry, Willian and Eden Hazard are to be rested for the visit of Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that John Terry, Willian and Eden Hazard will all be rested for Wednesday's Champions League clash at home to Sporting Lisbon.

The Blues have already qualified for the last 16 as Group G winners following their 5-0 win over Schalke 04 two weeks ago.

While the likes of Terry, Willian and Hazard will sit out tomorrow's game at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho has also confirmed that Diego Costa will start for the home side.

Chelsea head into the match on the back of a 2-1 defeat away to Newcastle United - their first loss of the season in all competitions.
