Laurent Blanc: 'We will take game to Chelsea'

Laurent Blanc insists that Paris Saint-Germain will not sit back on their two-goal lead when they visit Chelsea for their Champions League quarter-final second leg.

Laurent Blanc has vowed that Paris Saint-Germain will not sit back to defend their lead when they visit Chelsea for their Champions League quarter-final second leg.

The French outfit take a 3-1 advantage to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday following strikes from Ezequiel Lavezzi and Javier Pastore and a David Luiz own goal.

Their top goalscorer and talismanic striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is injured for the trip to London, but Blanc has insisted that will not deter PSG from their natural attacking ways as they attempt to "dominate" and put the game beyond the Blues.

"We believe in certain things and I have always believed that taking the game to the opposition is the best way of winning trophies," Blanc told reporters.

"We have not come here to suffer and let Chelsea dictate the game to us and dominate us. A role of a top team is to dominate the game even away from home.

"Our philosophy is an attacking one, we like to keep the ball and pose problems to our opposition. It would be wonderful to try to qualify by putting this philosophy into action."

PSG have the best attack in Ligue 1, having scored 74 goals in 32 games this season.
