Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Real Madrid

Chelsea will aspire to get off on the right foot against Real Madrid when they travel to the Spanish capital for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie on Tuesday night.

The Blues suffered a 1-0 second-leg defeat to Porto in the quarter-finals, but a 2-0 first-leg win in Seville saw them progress to the final four with minimal difficulty.

Thomas Tuchel's side were made to work for their victory over West Ham United at the weekend, but Timo Werner's goal was enough to hand them a 1-0 win at the London Stadium on Saturday.

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: May 1 (vs. Fulham)

Chelsea's sole injury concern at the minute is midfielder Mateo Kovacic, who is confirmed to be missing the first leg with a thigh issue, but Tuchel will hope to have him available for the return leg on May 5.

Chelsea have no players suspended for the first leg.
