Southampton begin pursuit of Victor Wanyama?

Reports have suggested that Southampton have joined the race to sign Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama.

The Kenyan, who has also attracted the interest of Liverpool and Arsenal, could be a summer target for the Saints, according to the Daily Mail.

Southampton scouts reportedly watched Wanyama in Celtic's 3-1 loss to Motherwell last Sunday.

However, Saints manager Mauricio Pochettino could be forced to pay £10m to bring the midfielder to the Premier League next season.

Wanyama has only one year left on his current Celtic deal.
