Lennon: 'Celtic won't sell Forrest to Zenit'

Neil Lennon has dismissed the possibility of Celtic midfielder James Forrest signing for Zenit St Petersburg this summer.

The Russian giants have been linked with a £12m approach for the Scotland international, who has spent his entire professional career at the Glasgow giants.

However, just days after seeing Kieran Tierney join Arsenal, Lennon has insisted that the 28-year-old will be staying at his current club.

Lennon is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "He is another one that we don't want to go. A big player, a big goalscorer. He has been here a long, long time. He is under contract.

"There is no confirmation of that Zenit interest, it is just speculation, but it doesn't surprise me. However, from my point of view we want James here and he is happy here as well."

The winger still has three years remaining on his existing deal at Celtic.
