Berizzo wants to connect with Celta fans

New Celta Vigo boss Eduardo Berizzo has revealed that he wants to "connect" with the club's supporters after taking charge of the Spanish outfit.

The 44-year-old, who spent four years with Celta as a player from 2001 to 2005, making more than 100 league appearances, signed a two-year contract last Tuesday.

"I'm very happy to be here," he told reporters at a press conference. "I want to help and lead a club that has given me a lot. I owe them so much. I like attacking football and want to incorporate as many young players as possible.

"One of the keys for me is to connect the people of Vigo with the team. I want them to be excited when they come here."

Berizzo has replaced Luis Enrique at the helm, with the Spaniard joining Barcelona.
