Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan has acquired Belgian top-flight club KV Kortrijk.
The businessman bought the Jupiler Pro League outfit from previous owners the De Gryse family in a deal worth around £3.6m, according to PA.
Tan has vowed not to make any changes to the running of the club or its management, although Cardiff chief executive Ken Choo has reportedly joined its board.
"The De Gryse family and Vincent Tan have both prioritised the continuation and long-term preservation of an ambitious first division side in Kortrijk," said the club in a statement. "A number of clear arrangements have been made to ensure the club will maintain its individuality."
Tan, who also owns a club in Sarajevo and has a minority stake in Los Angeles FC, previously sparked controversy when he turned Cardiff's home shirt from blue to red, before switching it back to the original colour.
