Solskjaer "bitterly disappointed" after derby defeat

Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that Saturday's 3-0 defeat to South Wales rivals Swansea City left him "bitterly disappointed".

The Bluebirds held their own during a goalless first-half at the Liberty Stadium, but they were taken apart after the break as Wayne Routledge, Nathan Dyer and Wilfried Bony all found the net.

"The first 10 minutes, they were on the front foot but after that I think we weathered the storm, I think we did okay," Solskjaer told reporters. "They didn't create any chances before half time and we were happy with the performance up until then.

"But after a bad start to the second half, it changed the game - goals always do. The first goal in a game like this is important. After that, we responded well. We had two massive chances, one with Craig which hits the crossbar and one free-kick but that didn't go our way and then the lad [Dyer] scored a diving header in the corner.

"I'm bitterly disappointed and it hurts for a lot me, the players and fans of course."

Cardiff have now lost four games, won three and drew none since Solskjaer was appointed as manager on January 2.
