Cardiff City in debt of £118m

Cardiff City have recorded a loss of £30m for the financial period up to May 2013.

The Welsh outfit are now £118m in debt, with £66m owed to club owner Vincent Tan, according to WalesOnline.

This is despite the Malaysian businessman writing off £5m in interest owed and converting £2.5m into shares, as life president Sam Hammam's Langston was paid £22m to reduce the debt.

The report also adds that revenue was just over £17m in 2013 compared to £20m in 2012, while wages and salaries increased from £18.5m to £30m in the same time period.
