Cardiff City and Leicester City have headed into half time goalless following a quiet opening spell at the Cardiff City Stadium.
There were few efforts on goal during the first half, with both sides taking a defensive approach to the match.
The visitors put early pressure on the league leaders' defence, with Chris Wood forcing a save from David Marshall before Matthew Connolly blocked a Lloyd Dyer effort.
Fouls from Wood and Jeff Schlupp saw Peter Whittingham whip in a pair of dangerous free kicks, but Kasper Schmeichel comfortably kept his efforts out.
Dyer sent a ball in towards the Leicester goal towards the end of the half but Andrew Taylor cleared the danger, before Schlupp also tried to set up a chance that Mark Hudson booted away.
