Real Sociedad boss David Moyes eager to sign Danny Ings?

Real Sociedad manager David Moyes is eager for the club to sign Burnley striker Danny Ings when he becomes a free agent in the summer, according to reports.

Real Sociedad manager David Moyes has reportedly made signing Burnley striker Danny Ings one of his priorities in the summer.

Despite being set to become a free agent at the end of the season, Ings is not expected to sign a new deal at Turf Moor, and a number of Premier League clubs have been linked with moves for the England Under-21 international.

Ings has been reluctant to suggest where he will be at the start of the next campaign, but it is believed that the promise of regular football is key for the 22-year-old.

According to The Independent, Moyes is keen to bring the Clarets forward to Spain, and the attraction of playing a leading role for the side could see Sociedad jump out in front in the race for his signature.

Due to his age, Burnley will still be owed compensation if Ings leaves the club in the summer, but FIFA rules mean that a Spanish-based club like Sociedad could secure the deal for just £206,000.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche recently revealed that the club are still hoping to persuade Ings to sign a contract extension.
