Burnley release Norway-bound Dane Richards

Burnley have terminated the contract of midfielder Dane Richards so that he can permanently join Norwegian side FK Bodo/Glimt.

The 29-year-old Jamaican international finalised a move to Turf Moor in January, but only appeared twice as a substitute for the Clarets last season.

He joined FK Bodo/Glimt on loan in April and will now move there on a permanent deal.

Richards has previously played for the New York Red Bulls and the Vancouver Whitecaps in his career.
