Sam Allardyce will reportedly request a bonus if he decides to take on the Burnley role and keep them in the Premier League.

Sam Allardyce is reportedly looking for a big wage in order to take over the vacant managerial role at Burnley following Sean Dyche's dismissal.

The Clarets let go of the 50-year-old on Friday after he had been in charge for nine-and-a-half years, ending what had been the longest managerial reign of any current Premier League boss.

However, the focus has now turned to who will replace Dyche, and Allardyce has reportedly emerged as the favourite to take on the role.

The former England manager has got lots of experience when it comes to the relegation battles, but he is set to demand a huge bonus if he takes the job and keeps them up, according to The Sun.

Burnley are currently 18th in the Premier League table, four points away from safety with eight games remaining.

Allardyce is also set to request a brand new contract for next season, but those close to him also believe it is not a guarantee that he will be joining the club.

Meanwhile at Turf Moor, the majority of the staff reportedly only found out about Dyche's departure when it was announced publicly.
