Burnley boss Sean Dyche backs Watford forward Andre Gray to return to form

Burnley boss Sean Dyche claims that it will not be long before former Clarets forward Andre Gray - now at Watford - rediscovers his form in the Premier League.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has backed Andre Gray to rediscover his form in the Premier League for Watford.

Gray enjoyed a successful period with Burnley before making the decision to link up with Watford in August for a fee of £11.5m.

The forward has netted just four league goals in 26 outings for the Hornets but ahead of the clash between the two clubs, Dyche has spoken highly of his former player.

The 46-year-old is quoted by the Watford Observer as saying: "I know what he did for us and he was fantastic for us. I think he's a very good player.

"Hopefully over time he'll show that down there, and I believe he will. I just hope he doesn't show it on Saturday. It would be fantastic if he could save it up for another day."

Burnley head into the game with a nine-point advantage over Watford in the top-flight standings.
