Half-Time Report: Burnley level with Blackpool
Burnley take the lead through Danny Ings, but Craig Cathcart's equaliser means Blackpool go in at half-time level.

Burnley's hope of topping the Championship have been dented after they took an early lead only to be pegged back by Lancashire rivals Blackpool midway through the first half.

His goal came after just seven minutes when David Jones's corner found its way to the England Under-21 international, who side-footed the ball past Tangerines keeper Matt Gilks.

But Blackpool - who have only won three of their last 14 games going into this contest – almost found a way back into the match when Thomas Ince crossed the ball into the path of Barry Ferguson, but the former Rangers midfielder dragged his shot past Tom Heaton's left post.

The visitors did find an equaliser midway through the first period when Craig Cathcart, who was an injury doubt before the game, headed home Ince's corner from close range.

A win for Burnley would take the Clarets top, after Queens Park Rangers 1-0 defeat at home against Leicester City earlier on Saturday.
