Swindon Town turn down Bristol City bid for Aden Flint

Swindon turn down Flint bid

Bristol City manager Sean O'Driscoll has confirmed that the club have had a bid for Swindon Town defender Aden Flint rejected.

The Robins took up an option on the 23-year-old's contract last week to keep him at the County Ground for another season, but Flint handed in a transfer request after City's bid was turned down.

O'Driscoll has said that the club may increase their offer for the player.

"We've put in an offer that got rejected, so we're just contemplating whether we increase the offer or look elsewhere," he told BBC Radio Bristol.

"He'd be somebody we feel that would fill the right centre-half gap that seems to have been a problem since Steven Caulker left. He's a good age and someone we think we can develop further."

Flint has made 36 appearances for Swindon this season.
