Bristol City target Stephen Pearson

New Bristol City manager Derek McInnes is hoping to make Stephen Pearson his first signing for the club.

McInnes is keen to tie up a loan deal for the Derby County midfielder in time for Saturday's match against Barnsley, according to The Mirror.

Pearson, who scored the winning goal for the Rams in the Championship play-off final four years ago, has been troubled by injuries in the last 18 months.

The 29-year-old is believed to be willing to sign on at Ashton Gate.
