Toby Ajala returns to Bristol City

Toby Ajala returns to Bristol City after spending three months on loan at AFC Wimbledon.

AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley has confirmed that Toby Ajala has returned to parent club Bristol City.

The 21-year-old spent three months at the League Two outfit, with his final appearance coming in Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Northampton Town.

"As happens with most youngsters, Toby started well with us and then had a bit of a dip in form," Ardley told Sky Sports News.

"But he came on strong again and I thought he was excellent again for us [against Northampton].

"He had a sore throat and was struggling a bit during the game, but the commitment that the boy has shown for us will only stand him in good stead for his future in the game."

Wimbledon currently sit bottom of League Two.
