Malaury Martin's late goal earned Middlesbrough the three points with a 1-0 win against Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

A mix-up in the City defence just after the break nearly gave the visitors the lead when goalkeeper David James made a mess of a clearance outside of his area.

Scott McDonald made a surging run into the penalty area for Boro on the hour, but a fine tackle from James Wilson kept the visitors out.

Tony Mowbray's side increased the pressure in the final 10 minutes but a lack of quality in front of goal kept the scores level.
