The Championship's basement club Bristol City host Blackpool this weekend hoping to close the gap on Peterborough United and Ipswich Town above them.

Derek McInnes could hand a debut to emergency loan signing Neil Danns, who completed a move to Aston Gate from Leicester City this week.

The Robins are looking to end a run of straight defeats, with last weekend's 2-0 reverse against Charlton Athletic being their seventh on the spin.

Michael Appleton's mid-table Blackpool are without the services of Matt Phillips, who is likely to be out until after Christmas with a toe injury.

The Seasiders, who drew 2-2 with Bolton Wanderers last weekend, could go as high as seventh with a win at Bristol City.
