Bristol City boss Steve Cotterill up for December League Two award after first month in charge

Cotterill up for League One award

New Bristol City manager Steve Cotterill has been nominated for League One's December Manager of the Month after his start with the Robins.

Bristol lost just one game in the final month of 2013 to move off the bottom of the table.

The other three nominees are Sheffield United's Nigel Clough, Karl Robinson of MK Dons and Brentford's Mark Warburton.

Clough guided his side to an unbeaten month as they conceded just two goals and moved clear of the drop zone.

Robinson, meanwhile, had to deal with a mounting list of injuries but still led his team to three to-nil victories out of four games.

Finally, Warburton continued where predecessor Uwe Rosler left off by winning all four games in December as Brentford surged to the top of the table.

The winner will be announced on Friday.
