Transfer roundup: Buonanotte to Dortmund, Victor to West Ham

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion attacker Facundo Buonanotte.

The 20-year-old spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Leicester City, who were relegated to the Championship with little fuss.

That being said, Buonanotte enjoyed a productive term on an individual note, scoring five goals and providing two assists across 31 matches.

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, the Argentine could be set to wave goodbye to the South coast this summer.

The report claims that Bundesliga powerhouses Borussia Dortmund are eyeing up a high-profile swoop for Buonanotte before the end of the window.

It is understood that the German giants are in active talks for the youngster, who impressed massively at the King Power Stadium in 2024-25.

Dortmund are supposedly keen to get a deal over the line in the near future, although they are awaiting the approval of Brighton.

As well as the Bundesliga outfit, French club Lyon are known to be massive admirers of Buonanotte, calling the Seagulls to discuss the availability of the 20-year-old.

West Ham chasing Club World Cup hero?

Elsewhere in the Premier League, West Ham United are plotting a productive first full campaign under the stewardship of Graham Potter.

The Hammers have lost a star player already this summer, with Ghana international Mohammed Kudus switching to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

There have also been departures in the goalkeeper department, with veteran shot-stopper Lukasz Fabianski leaving at the expiration of his contract.

As a result, Potter's troops are on the hunt for a new face in between the sticks, with West Ham chasing Botafogo star John Victor, as per Fabrizio Romano.

It is believed that the Hammers have submitted a formal bid for the 29-year-old, who they are hoping to bag for just under £7m.

As well as the East Londoners, it is understood that Premier League rivals Everton and Turkish Super Lig outfit Galatasaray are also keen on the Brazilian.

Despite looking set to continue with Andre Onana in net, Manchester United were supposedly monitoring Victor earlier this calendar year.

Ipswich want Serie A star?

A team who departed the Premier League a few months ago, Ipswich Town are aiming to make an immediate return to the top table of English football.

That quest was made harder by the summer departure of striker Liam Delap, who sealed a £30m move to Club World Cup winners Chelsea.

The Tractor Boys' search for a successor to the Englishman is ongoing, and they have landed on a Serie A striker, according Fabrizio Romano.

Ipswich have reportedly offered Como a loan deal for 22-year-old forward Ivan Azon ahead of the new season.

The agreement would supposedly include an obligation for Ipswich to purchase the player should they secure promotion to the Premier League.

If they fail in their Championship aims, Kieran McKenna's men would still reportedly have the option to permanently sign Azon.

The second-tier club are said to be facing competition from La Liga side Valencia for the signature of the former Spain Under-21 international.
