How Brighton & Hove Albion could line up against Manchester City

How Brighton could line up against Man City

Brighton & Hove Albion will continue to have Joel Veltman assessed ahead of Tuesday's Premier League match against Manchester City.

The defender's calf injury has led him to miss Brighton's last two league matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United.

The former Ajax man has made an excellent impact in a variety of positions during his first season in England, with Graham Potter revealing prior to Saturday's draw with West Ham that Veltman is "still recovering."

Given that Brighton's Premier League safety has been comfortably secured for a fourth successive season, there are unlikely to be any risks taken by the 45-year-old and his medical team when it comes to injuries at this stage of the season.

The same is likely to apply to Davy Propper, then, who has a problem with his ankle and has been on the fringes of Potter's squad this season in any case, while Solly March and Tariq Lamptey have already been ruled out for the rest of the campaign due to knee and hamstring injuries respectively.

Potter will also remain without his captain Lewis Dunk and top goalscorer Neal Maupay for the visit of the Premier League champions after the pair were both sent off in the recent defeat to Wolves, but both will be available for the final day fixture away to Arsenal.

Steven Alzate could make way for Adam Lallana, who returned to action from the bench against West Ham after recovering from a minor muscle injury. The former Liverpool midfielder could be useful in evading Man City's high press.

Brighton possible starting lineup: Sanchez; White, Webster, Burn; Gross, Lallana, Bissouma, Moder; Trossard, Jahanbakhsh; Welbeck
