Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Dean Hammond reveals that he is targeting a second successive promotion from the Championship.

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Dean Hammond has revealed that he is targeting his second successive promotion to the Premier League.

The 30-year-old helped Southampton win promotion to the top flight last season.

Hammond, who is on a season-long loan with the Seagulls after moving from Southampton in August, hopes that his current club can also earn promotion from the Championship.

He told BBC Sussex: "There is a long way to go yet. Last year was fantastic. Going through that was unbelievable and is something I will always cherish.

"Doing it again would be amazing. We have put a lot of hard work in this season and are in a great position."

Brighton currently sit fourth in the Championship table.
