Oscar Garcia 'to be appointed Brighton & Hove Albion manager'

Garcia 'to be named Brighton boss'

Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly poised to appoint former Barcelona youth coach Oscar Garcia as their new boss.

The ex-Barca player has become available since leaving his post as manager of Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv, who have since called on Paulo Sousa to take over.

It is understood that Garcia will take charge of the Championship outfit for the 2012-13 campaign following the dismissal of Gus Poyet, according to Sky Sports News.

Poyet was sacked by the club following his failure to attend a disciplinary meeting after being served with a suspension last month.
