Former Brazil striker Ronaldo urges Santos attacker Neymar to move to Europe.

Former Brazil striker Ronaldo has insisted that Santos attacker Neymar must move to Europe in order to realise his full potential.

Neymar, 20, is regarded as one of the best young talents in world football, and has reportedly attracted interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid.

He is contracted with Santos until 2014, but Ronaldo has advised his fellow Brazilian to leave his home nation.

"My opinion about him is still the same. Brazil's current moment is not ideal to keep a player of this calibre. When I gave my opinion, I was thinking about the player, and his ambition to conquer the world," he told ESPN Brasil.

"It is very beautiful for Brazil that he stays here. His quality sets him apart from the rest, and we can see this every weekend."

Neymar has 16 international caps to his name.
