Phil Parkinson: 'Poor start cost Bradford City'

Bradford City manager Phil Parkinson says that the poor start cost his team after they conceded twice in the opening 10 minutes in their 3-0 FA Cup loss to Reading.

Phil Parkinson has said that Bradford City's poor start cost them during their FA Cup sixth-round 3-0 defeat to Reading.

The Bantams were two goals down within the opening 10 minutes thanks to goals from Hal Robson-Kanu and Garath McCleary, with Jamie Mackie adding a third in the 68th minute.

"We got off to a bad start and it was difficult to come back from that," Parkinson told BBC Sport.

"We gave them a huge lift and they deservedly went through.

"Our players have to be immensely proud of what we've achieved this season. We have to take this through to the last 11 games in the league to see what we can achieve."

Bradford are three points off the League One playoff places and return to league action at Scunthorpe United on Tuesday.
