Bournemouth plotting Curtis Davies raid?

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has reportedly made Hull City's Curtis Davies one of his main January transfer targets.

It has previously been claimed that Howe has made winter defensive reinforcements his major objective in a bid to give the Cherries the best chance of retaining their Premier League status.

Having considered a number of options, 30-year-old Davies has been identified as the ideal candidate, according to The Mirror.

The report adds that Hull value the centre-back at around £3m, despite the fact that his contract at the KC Stadium is due to expire at the end of the season.

Davies joined Hull from Birmingham City in 2013 for a reported £2.5m.
