Bournemouth predicted XI vs. Ipswich Town: Possible starting lineup as Iraola's Cherries chase European football

Back after four months out: Who could Iraola start in chase for Europe?

As they look to make up the ground on the Premier League's European places, Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola has a few absentees to contend with ahead of his side's clash with Ipswich Town on Wednesday.

The manager will be thankful that the Cherries did not pick up any major injury issues when they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Manchester City on Sunday, though left-winger Luis Sinisterra is a doubt for their midweek clash with a thigh problem.

One important attacking player that the hosts will definitely be missing is the versatile Marcus Tavernier, who missed that game against City with an ankle injury and is not expected to be back in action until mid-April at the earliest.

If neither Sinisterra nor Tavernier are available, then a trio of David Brooks, Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo should line up behind talismanic striker Evanilson up top.

More positively, Dango Outtara should be available in midweek after the winger recovered from an issue that he picked up against Brentford back on March 15, and after featuring for Burkina Faso during their World Cup qualifying campaign, as well as making an appearance from the bench against City, he will be ready to make an impact if called upon.

Ouattara netted a dramatic 95th-minute winner in the reverse fixture in December and also registered an assist for Enes Unal's 87th-minute equaliser, though the Turkish forward will not play any part on Wednesday as he is set for an extended spell on the sidelines with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

On the other hand, fellow long-term absentee, right-back Julian Araujo could make a comeback appearance this week after working his way into contention following a thigh issue that has kept him out since November.

If Araujo gets any minutes on Wednesday to build fitness, they are likely to be from the bench, while Lewis Cook and Illia Zabarnyi should be rejoined by Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez in the backline after they both served a suspension at the weekend.

Bournemouth possible starting lineup: Arrizabalaga; Cook, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez; Christie, Adams; Brooks, Kluivert, Semenyo; Evanilson
