Eddie Howe: 'TV deal won't affect my approach to management'

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe insists that his approach to management will not be affected by the new record Premier League television deal.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has said that the new Premier League television deal will not affect his approach to management.

The Premier League announced a record £5.136bn television deal on Tuesday, but Howe insists that he is motivated by footballing achievements rather than financial incentive.

"We're obviously aware of it. I don't think it changes anything from my perspective," Howe told the Bournemouth Echo.

"We're trying to win games the best way we can and there's a big carrot at the end of it for the club. If you suddenly change the way you are doing things, you weren't doing the right things in the first place.

"Although it's an even bigger carrot for a lot of clubs in a similar position to ourselves, and everyone wants to get there, we will continue to go about our business as we have done, while recognising that."

Howe's Bournemouth currently sit second in the Championship, and play against Huddersfield Town tomorrow.
