Gascoigne eyes coaching career

Paul Gascoigne has said that he would like to start coaching in order to get his life back on track.

The former England international is to undergo a hip operation so that he can play football again, and is looking to take up a role as a youth coach at Bournemouth once fit.

The 45-year-old told The Mirror: "I might start doing my coaching badges again. When I'm coaching I need to twist and turn properly so I can show the lads some of the amazing things I used to do."

The former midfielder has previously had a coaching role at Algarve United, and spent 39 days as manager of Kettering Town.

Gascoigne has battled alcohol addiction since his retirement in 2004.
