Eddie Howe bemoans refereeing decisions

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has claimed that his side had three big refereeing decisions go against them during this afternoon's 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at the Vitality Stadium.

Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge scored in quick succession of each other at the end of the first half to give Liverpool control of the match, with Bournemouth only coming up with a reply in the fourth minute of injury time.

Things may have been different if referee Mike Jones had awarded penalties for handball appeals against Lucas Leiva and Kolo Toure, but Howe acknowledged that they were tough decisions for the official.

"I think there were three in total and the referee has made his call," he told reporters.

"They were difficult ones. They were quite tight to the player, but they definitely hit the arm. The last one's probably our best case."

Bournemouth, who have now lost three of their last four league games, take on Chelsea at Dean Court next weekend.
