Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola is hopeful that Ryan Christie will be available for Saturday's Premier League home meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Cherries return home to the Vitality Stadium after falling to a 4-2 away defeat to Liverpool on the opening day of the new season.
Christie was absent for the trip to Anfield after missing all of Bournemouth's pre-season schedule with an injury he picked up in the latter stages of last term.
However, Iraola is hopeful that the Scotland international will be available for the weekend, although Justin Kluivert looks set to miss a second consecutive match.
Iraola provides Christie, Kluivert injury updates
“Ryan Christie has trained with us all the week so I hope he is with us," Iraola told reporters. “We still have training this afternoon but we hope he is with us for the weekend.
“Justin has done some things with us, he’s in a more difficult position than Ryan Christie, but it’s good news that he has started doing things with the group.”
Midfielder Lewis Cook and forward Enes Unal remain unavailable for selection as they continue to work their way back from knee injuries.
The Cherries can no longer call upon the services of Luis Sinisterra, who has completed a loan move to Brazilian side Cruzeiro.
Iraola explains Gannon-Doak, Adli signings
Iraola also provided some insight into the recent additions of Ben Gannon-Doak and Amine Adli to his attacking options.
The Bournemouth boss said: “Firstly, with Amine, he is an established player. He has some titles, and usually it’s difficult for us to sign players who have won things. I’ve had good references about his character, work rate and you feel he is ready.
“Ben is a player that, even if he hasn’t played in the Premier League, we have seen him play a lot with the national team and Middlesbrough, and he’s a winger that’s a threat, good at one v ones and is confident and bright – he’s going to be a very good signing."
Bournemouth signed Gannon-Doak from Liverpool in a £25m deal, while Adli was brought in from Bayer Leverkusen in a transfer worth €29m (£25.1m).
Gannon-Doak and Adli could make their Bournemouth debuts on Saturday as the Cherries look to get the better of a Wolves side that lost 4-0 to Manchester City last weekend.
