Half-Time Report: Brighton & Hove Albion, Bournemouth still goalless

Bournemouth remain level with Brighton & Hove Albion following a goalless first half in their Championship clash.

Brighton & Hove Albion and Bournemouth have headed into half time level after playing a goalless first half in their Championship clash at the Amex Stadium this evening.

Brighton had the majority of the possession in the opening 10 minutes, but the home side struggled to create any early chances against the Championship leaders.

Joao Teixeira thought that he was through for the hosts when Dale Stephens picked him out with a long ball forward, but the on-loan winger's shot from a tight angle was turned behind by Steve Cook.

Brighton continued to look the more likely as Mustapha Carayol charged into the box before trying to rifle a low finish into the bottom corner, but the initial finish was blocked to leave Artur Boruc to gather it.

Bournemouth started to look more dangerous after the half-hour mark, with Matt Ritchie unleashing a curling effort from the edge of the box, but it was comfortably dealt with by David Stockdale.

Eddie Howe's side threatened again as the interval approached, with Ritchie lining the finish up again, but the midfielder mishit the shot, slicing it into the stands.
