Mario Gotze: 'I could extend Dortmund contract'

Gotze open to Dortmund stay

Mario Gotze has admitted that he is not ruling out extending his contract at Borussia Dortmund.

The highly-rated youngster is being monitored by top clubs across Europe including Arsenal and Manchester United.

Despite the interest, Dortmund have said that they are not interested in selling the German international. However, with the midfielder's current deal running to 2014, a new contract may well be offered to their star man.

"Of course, I can imagine extending my contract with Borussia Dortmund," said Gotze.

"I have always said that I feel very comfortable here and that has not changed."

The 19-year-old has scored five goals in 14 appearances this season.
