Bayern to confirm Lewandowski on Saturday?

Bayern Munich have finally agreed a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski on a five-year contract, according to a report.

The Champions League holders have been chasing the Polish international for some time, but Dortmund refused to sell him to their Bundesliga rivals in the summer.

However, Lewandowski's contract at Westfalenstadion expires at the end of the season and the 25-year-old has publicly stated his desire to follow ex-teammate Mario Gotze in joining Pep Guardiola's side.

German publication Bild is claiming that the move is now close to completion, with Lewandowski being pictured arriving at the house of Bayern club doctor Dr Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt on Saturday, having already allegedly signed a pre-contract agreement on a deal until 2019 worth around £9m a year.

The forward has scored 81 goals in 146 Bundesliga and European games since joining Dortmund in 2010.
