Lukasz Piszczek faces five months out after surgery

Piszczek faces five months out

Borussia Dortmund right-back Lukasz Piszczek is facing five months out following an operation on his hip.

Piszczek, who had been playing with the injury at the end of the season and missed a few games because of it, has now had an operation in Munich to put an end to his troubles.

Dortmund's chief medic Markus Braun has estimated that the recovery from the operation will be five months, which would mean Piszczek missing the start of next season.

The 28-year-old has been capped 34 times for Poland.
