Half-Time Report: Lars Stindl cancels out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opener

Hannover peg back Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund have wasted an early lead to head into the half-time break at 1-1 with Hannover.

Hannover made a bright start to the match, but the hosts struggled to turn pressure into chances as Jimmy Briand fired an effort over the crossbar after latching on to a loose ball in the box.

It was Dortmund who broke the deadlock 19 minutes in as Reus skipped a couple of challenges on the edge of the box to pick out Aubameyang, who held his nerve to stroke the ball past Ron-Robert Zieler.

However, the home side responded impressively to equalise when Leonardo Bittencourt sprinted clear before delivering an inch-perfect ball to allow Lars Stindl to slot home.

Tayfun Korkut should have watched his team take the lead moments later, but Bittencourt could only drag a shot wide after being gifted space by a nervy Dortmund defence.
