Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland to return against Rangers for Europa League tie?

Haaland to return against Rangers for Europa League tie?

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland could reportedly be fit to feature against Rangers in the second leg of their Europa League playoff tie at Ibrox on Thursday.

The German outfit were stunned by the Scottish Premiership champions in the first leg, who claimed an impressive 4-2 victory at Westfalenstadion last week.

Haaland has been ruled out for the last month with a groin injury, but the Norwegian striker has recently taken part in full training sessions.

German news outlet Revier Sport reports that Dortmund are growing in confidence that the 21-year-old can travel with the first-team squad and be in contention to feature in Glasgow.

It remains to be seen whether Haaland would be fit enough to start on Thursday, with Donyell Malen the most likely candidate to begin as the central striker.

Prior to picking up his injury, Haaland had scored 23 goals and provided six assists in just 20 matches for Dortmund across all competitions this season.
